Dalmatinka Dolcetto (Red Wine)
A popular variety grown in Italy and reminiscent of Croatian red wine varieties (but this is grown on my family’s vineyards in Santa Barbara County, CA!). A lighter-bodied red wine with mild tannins with notes of cherry, dark chocolate, and sage. A easy drinking, food friendly wine, that everyone will enjoy.
Dalmatinka means "Girl from Dalmatia", the dazzling coastline of Croatia and my family's ancestral home. Dalmatinka represents my favorite culinary memories and our beloved Nana, and inspired the label. She believed gardening was therapy for the soul and family was at the heart of everything. Dolcetto's roots are Italian, pairing perfectly with Adriatic favorites. Enjoy with pastas, cheeses, prosciutto, grilled meats and veggies.

Hollie’s family emigrated from the tiny Adriatic coastal country of Croatia, all 4 of her grandparents were from this majestic country and were hard working farming and restaurant entrepreneurs. Hollie’s father, Louis Lucas is a premier grower and pioneer viticulturalist for over 50 years, and had the first commercial wine grape growing operation in Santa Barbara County. His winery and vineyards, Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards grows over 24 varieties of grapes, producing premium, award winning wines in limited quantities.
